In Ohio, felony offenses are the most serious offenses that an individual can be charged with.
The consequences of being convicted of a felony can be very serious. If convicted, individuals face the possibility of prison, community control / probation, and substantial fines.

The Ohio Revised Code also has unclassified felonies such as Aggravated Murder which carries even more severe penalties. Other felony crimes, such as sex crimes, require that an individual register with their local sheriff agency. The ORC (Ohio Revised Code) also provides for additional penalties for offenses that carry specifications, such as firearm specifications or gang specifications.
